JACK @ HOME

well it's been a week now since young jack has come home, and things are going very well. Jack's feeding well and crying a bit but mum and dad are coping well.
It's been very hot here in melbourne over the last few days (43 degrees C yesterday!) and despite being occasionally grumpy and unsettled little jack has coped quite well (of course air conditioning helps).
Jack got to meet his grandad for the first time this week, and was so excited he actually woke up for about 10 minutes.
we also had our first maternal and child health centre visit, where jack proved they saying "if it's not covered it'll leak" needless to say the M+CH nurse had seen all that before.

(almost) 4 days on

well almost 4 days have passed since little jack has arrived on the scene. Mum and baby are doing well, except jack is waking up more, meaning jen's sleeping less
hopefully jack and jen will both be home tuesday.
Jack's lost about 500g since birth which is a little much so he's being supplemented with forumla until jen's milk arrives fully (should be any day now)

more baby piccies

well here's even more photos of our little bundle of joy with some of the family who came in to see us today. Actually noticed there's very few photos of the wonderful mum and bub together, which I will try to get rectified tommorow.
For those interested we'll be wetting the baby's head at paul and jens house tommorow evening 13/1/06 at about 7.30pm - should be fun!

Baby Jack arrives!

well guys baby jack paul Witterick has arrived, after 12 hours of hard labour, some tears (mostly paul's) and a quick-fire visit to the operating theatre our beautiful baby boy has arrived.
Jack Paul Witterick born 11/01/06 at 2335, 8lb 14oz (4.04kg)
Jack and Jen are both doing well.
Hopefully when i've worked this out a little better I'll put some more pictures and videos up.
